Zinc selenide has low absorption to infrared wavelengths and can transmit visible light. It is a material for making infrared lenses, Windows, output coupling mirrors and beam expanding mirrors.

Main Characteristics:
(1) Transmission range is 600nm to 16μm.
(2) Low dispersion zinc selenide materials are usually prepared by vapor deposition and are commonly used in thermal imaging, infrared imaging, and medical systems.
(3) In the high-power CO2 laser system, it has a very low absorption correlation coefficient and high thermal shock resistance.
